家督会関西支部同窓会
島根県立隠岐島前高等学校の同窓会を家督会（アトドカイ）と称する。家督会の詳細ないわれは知らないが、学校が家督山（海士町で一番高い山、標高246.2ｍ）の麓に在ることから名づけられたものと思われます。
この家督会の関西支部同窓会が昨日（４月２１日）開催された。参加者は何と総勢１４０名、中でも私の期がダントツで１５名居た。久しぶりに懐かしい顔に出会い、気持ちは一挙に１８歳。
１１時半から始まった総会は１４時半に閉会となったが、時間というのは不思議なもので、その時の感覚によって随分と違うもの。先輩後輩を含め、今日は・・、ヨ・・と声をかけ一言二言話しているとアッという間にお開きの時間となっていた。当然の事ながら、そのまま終わるはずも無く、昼日中ではあるが、当然そうなるであろうと予測して予約していた店に直行。事前に打合せをしていた訳ではないが、二次会も誰一人欠ける事無く同期１５名が全員参加。
卒業してから早や５４年。それぞれがそれぞれに成長しており、皆がみな元気そのもの。一般に７０歳余の人をみると、それ相応に年寄りで、おじいさんおばあさんと呼ぶに何の抵抗も無い感じになるが、同窓会で集まった７０歳余は、何故か見事に若い。何故だろー？。
外からみると多分に老人であろうが、当人同士は皆１８歳に帰っている。５４年の年月を一挙に投げ捨て、１８歳に帰っているのである。
まーたまには良いものだ・・・。
The alumni association of Okijimae High School in Shimane Prefecture is called Atodokai (family association). I don’t know the details of the family council, but it seems that the school was named after the fact that it is located at the foot of the family council mountain (the highest mountain in Ama town, 246.2 meters above sea level).
The Kansai Branch Reunion of the House of Lords was held yesterday (April 21). There were a total of 140 participants, 15 of whom were in my term by far. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a familiar face, and I’m 18 years old all at once.
The general meeting, which started at 11:30 a.m. and ended at 14:30 a.m., is a strange thing, and time is very different depending on how you feel at the time. After saying a word or two to the senior and junior members of the group, it was time to end the meeting in no time. As a matter of course, it was not going to end as it was, and although it was the middle of the day, I went straight to the restaurant I had reserved as I expected it would be. It wasn’t planned in advance, but the second party was attended by all 15 of us without missing a single person.
It’s been 54 years since I graduated. Each one is growing in its own way, and they are all in good spirits. In general, when you see people who are over 70 years old, they look appropriately old and don’t have any resistance to being called grandparents, but the people who gathered at the reunion were remarkably young. I don’t know why.
From the outside, they may look like old people, but all of them are now 18 years old, having thrown away 54 years of their lives to become 18 years old.
