便利
昨日僕は東京日帰り。今朝出社して某社員に渡したい物があり、彼の居る部屋に行くも姿が無い。○○君は・・と聞く。すると、「彼は今日は沖縄日帰りです」との返答。ビックリした、エッ沖縄日帰り！、
日本も狭くなったものだ・・・。
そう云えば、僕も何故か最近東京日帰りが多くなった。昼間４・５時間の会議だと日帰りが普通に出来る。以前にもこのブログに書いたような気がするが、僕は２０代の頃は月の半分くらい出張していたためか、汽車や電車は全く苦にならない。好きな様に本が読め、眠たくなれば寝ればいい、時には車窓からの風景を楽しむ。だから、東京日帰りも苦にはならなかった。しかし最近は少し疲れを感じる。座っているだけでも、乗り物に乗っていると疲れるものなのかな・・・。
それにしてもせわしないよな。飛行機も新幹線も、スマホも携帯も、パソコンも無茶苦茶便利。でも人の幸せには殆ど関係ないように思う。近年急激に何でも便利になり、それに慣れきっているが、僕はよっぽど昭和のほうが良かった様に思う。
便利になるって良いことなのかな？。このまま行くと、その内ＡＩが人間を支配するようになるかも。
人間が原子力を開発したが、その内、原子力が地球を破壊するかも・・・。
人間は、宇宙の進化向上に寄与するために、この世に生を受けたといわれるが、進化向上の方向性にはよっぽど気をつけないとえらい事になるのでは・・・。

Come to think of it, I’ve been taking a lot of day trips to Tokyo lately. If it’s a 4-5 hour meeting during the day, it’s normal to make a day trip. As I think I wrote in this blog before, when I was in my twenties, I was on a business trip about half of the month, so I don’t suffer from trains and trains at all. You can read any book you want, go to bed when you feel sleepy, and sometimes enjoy the scenery from the car window. So it didn’t hurt to go back to Tokyo for a day. But lately I’ve been feeling a little tired. It’s tiring to just sit and ride the rides, isn’t it…
But still, it’s a bit of a hassle. Airplanes, bullet trains, smart phones, cell phones, and computers are all extremely convenient. But it seems to have little to do with people’s happiness. In recent years, everything has suddenly become convenient and we are fully accustomed to it, but I think that the Showa era was much better.
I wonder if being convenient is a good thing. If things go on as they are, AI may come to dominate us sooner or later.
