漁師
７月も月半ばは隠岐に帰っていた。帰郷前に友達に電話をすると、「ここ１０日ほど南西の風が強く、殆ど漁には出れない・・・」とのことであった。ただ、こちらの感覚では、今日風が強くても明日は無風、と言う感覚であり、別に気にも止めず帰ったが、あにはからんや、風は一向にやむ気配がなく、帰郷して４日間は全く海に出れずであった。
５日目に若干凪いだ為、友達に無理を言い、船を出してもらい内海での釣りに挑んだ。 成果は先ず先ず、レンコ鯛、アジ、カワハギと色々。
翌日、気分良く目を覚ますと、海はべた凪ぎ。不安はあるが・・・早々に１人船に乗り込み、昨日友達に連れて行ってもらった場所へ直行。ポイントに自信が無いため、アンカーの変わりに潮帆を降ろし、さっそく釣り竿をたれるや、ググっと反応。３時間ほどで鯛、アジ、カワハギを３０匹程揚げる事が出来た。
自分１人で船を出し、自分でポイントを決め、自分のリールで魚を釣り上げた・・・。これは小生に取っては凄いこと。万歳、バンザーイ・・・
こんなで喜んでいると、田舎の友達は「お前馬鹿か・・・」的な顔で見ているが、小生に取っては大変な出来事なのだ！！。

これぞ小生１人での初漁
7 I was back in the Oki Islands in the middle of the month. When I called my friend before returning home, he told me that the wind was so strong from the southwest for the past 10 days that I could hardly go out to fish…. However, my feeling was that even if the wind was strong today, there would be no wind tomorrow, so I went home without thinking about it, but there was no sign of the wind ceasing, and I couldn’t go out to sea at all for four days after returning home.
On the fifth day, there was a slight calm, so I asked my friend to leave the boat and we went fishing in the inner sea. The result is first of all, a red snapper, a horse mackerel, and various kinds of leatherfish.
The next day, I woke up feeling good and the sea was calm. I’m anxious, but…I got on the boat early and went straight to the place where my friend took me yesterday. In about 3 hours, I was able to catch about 30 bream, horse mackerel and leatherfish.
I set out the boat by myself, decided the point by myself, and caught the fish with my reel… This is a great thing for me. Hurrah, banzai…
My friends in the countryside look at me like I’m an idiot when I’m happy like this, but for me, it’s a big deal!
