According to a newspaper report on May 26, “A lieutenant of the Osaka Prefectural Police was found by a clerk trying to steal from a restaurant, and he was arrested.
It seems that there was an outrageous incident in which a man cut himself with a pair of gold scissors he had been carrying and injured himself.
However, he said, “Police officers should not be thieves, but they are also flesh and blood people.
The “no way” part is that there should be no such thing as a thief becoming a police officer.
This is my personal opinion. It is a matter of course that even an elementary school student can understand his or her own opinions.
However, it’s difficult to tell if a person is a thief or not.
It would be nice to walk around with a headscarf over your head like a thief in a cartoon, but it doesn’t work that way in practice.
Therefore, when hiring a police officer, they thoroughly check whether he or she has a criminal record, such as theft, as one of the factors used to determine whether he or she will be accepted.
This is not limited to police officers, and even private companies should scrutinize their employees from every angle to determine if they are suitable for the position.
However, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (Hello Work) and many human rights organizations have not been able to determine whether the person is a thief or not.
They say that you should not check whether a person is a good fit for the company or not. The reason for this is that it may lead to discrimination.
I can’t figure out how this theory works for me.
