二人旅
週末久し振りに小旅行に出かけた。しかも妻と二人である。団体旅行に二人で参加というのはあるが純粋に二人というのは記憶にない。
多分２０数年前の新婚旅行以来では無かったかと思う。
土曜日の朝８時過ぎ、「そろそろ出かけようか・・」と妻に声を掛けると、「エッ、あれ本当だったの」との反応。
２人での旅行など計画もしたことが無かっただけに、事前に一言「週末に熊野へ行こうか・・」と声は掛けていたものの、半信半疑であった様だ。
考えていたのは奈良県天川村の龍泉寺をお参りし、
十津川村の文武館に行き、川湯温泉で１泊、
翌日本宮にお参りし、熊野古道を少し歩こうとの計画。
ただドライブを兼ねて１泊しただけで旅行という程の事ではないが、これが中々良かった。
天川村の龍泉寺、近畿３６不動尊霊場巡りの一つとして立ち寄ったが思っていた以上に素晴らしく、
表現は悪いが面白いお寺であった。修験道のお寺であるが、怒りを露わにした不動明王が片目をつぶっていて何処と無く愛嬌があり、また、
ひょうきんな顔の狛犬の背中に子供が何匹も乗っかっていたりと、独特の味があった。また、
５０回記念とか１００回記念とかの碑が沢山あるのには驚いた。多分水ごりや滝行の回数を記念しての碑と思われるが・・。
十津川村の文武館。これは私の郷里、
隠岐の島の出身である中沼了三（文化１３年生、国学者、明治天皇侍講）
が孝明天皇の命により創立した文武館である。今回の一番の目的は、この文武館を観ることであった。
ところが十津川村の観光案内や観光掲示板を見てもサッパリ出てこない。
マー適当に走っていれば案内くらい有るだろうと思っていたがいっこうに見当たらない。途中みやげ物店に立ち寄って聞くが「知らない」という、
「中沼了三先生を知らないの・・」、”ほんとにモー”と云う心境である。暫く走ってＧＳで給油しながら尋ねると、
「今の十津川高校が昔し文武館と呼ばれていた」とのこと。やっと分かったが既にそこは通り過ぎていた。
結局帰りに立ち寄ることにして一路川湯温泉へとひた走る。十津川村は日本一大きな村と言われるだけあって走っても走っても十津川村である。
ところが、十津川の眺めが何とも素晴らしく、幾ら走っても苦にならない爽快なドライブであった。
川湯温泉着１７時４５分。可愛い女将の出迎えを受け、温泉にゆったりと浸り、美味しい料理に舌包みを打ち、「代は満足じゃ・・」
とご機嫌で部屋に帰り、日本シリーズの観戦に挑むやいなやどうも爆睡状態にはいたらしい、お目覚めは丑三つ時であった。

The current Totsukawa High School was called Bunbukan in the past. I finally figured it out, but I had already passed by there.
After all, I decided to stop by on the way home, and I ran to Kawayu Onsen one way. It is said that Totsukawa Village is the largest village in Japan, so it is Totsukawa Village no matter how much you run.
However, the view of the Totsukawa River was so wonderful that it was an exhilarating drive that I didn’t feel bothered no matter how much I drove.
