「探偵がゆく」出版記念パーテイー
昨日４月２４日の日曜日、同業界の親友である?ピ・アイ・オーの社長東田俊康氏の出版記念パーテイーが盛大に行われた。本の題名は「探偵がゆく」、トンチャンこと東田俊康の３８年の永きに亘る探偵経験を軽妙なタッチで書き上げた本である。帯はテレビでお馴染みの大谷昭宏氏が書いている。
実際に本が店頭に並ぶのは５月２０日過ぎになる予定。トンチャンの泣き笑い人生と社会に対する思いの丈を書き綴っているが中々面白い。一読の価値はある、是非お読みいただきたいと思う・・。
パーテイーには何と420名の友人知人が参加、それは盛大なものであった。私は彼と長年の付き合いと云う事も有って、その発起人代表を務めた。420名を前に一番バッターで挨拶する羽目となりドキドキものであったが何とか無事に挨拶する事ができた。人前で話す機会が年齢と共に増えてきたが、出来ることなら避けたいことの一つである。

The book will not actually hit stores until after May 20. It’s an interesting story about Tong Chang’s crying and laughing life and his thoughts on society. Worth a read, I’d love to read it…
A whopping 420 friends and acquaintances attended the party, and it was a grand affair. I had to be the first batter to greet the 420 people in front of him, but I managed to make it. Public speaking has increased with age, and it is one of the things you want to avoid if you can.
