今朝定刻通り９時に出勤。朝のコーヒーを飲みながら日経の新聞小説「望郷の道」
に読みふけっていた。すると、テンポの良い何となく懐かしいリズムの太鼓と笛の音が聞こえてきた。その音につられふと窓の外を眺めると、
西天満小学校の運動会風景が目に飛び込んで来た。元気の良い入場行進、
１人ひとりの顔までは見えないが、緊張と誇らしさ、恥ずかしさと嬉しさの入り混じった児童の顔が目に浮かぶ。少しの間、社内に居るのを忘れ、
運動会に見入っていた。

すると、５０年昔の小学校時代の運動会が甦って来た。そう、親子対抗リレー。
小学４年の私がトップ、次が１歳上の兄、３番はお父さん、ラストがお母さん。３番走者までは１・２を接線で競っていた。
当時、小学校の運動会とは名ばかりで、実際は地区対抗の年に一度の一大イベントであった。大人も相当な熱の入れよう、
点数を争そって大人同士が喧嘩をする事さえあった。応援もすごかった。そんな中での親子対抗リレー、点数も大分高かったように思う・・。で、
４番走者にバトンが渡った、ところが母は何を間違えたか、一人で徒歩競争をしていた・・・、ほぼ半周遅れでゴール。

涙ながらに母を責めた、幼い頃の一コマをまざまざと思い出した。

そう言えば、数日前の日経新聞のコラムに、元京大総長が、総長室からの眺めの素晴らしさを誇らしげにつづっていた。東山三山を一望・
・・と。エライ違いである。小生の部屋からはビルばかり。

I’m a 4th grader and I’m the leader, then my brother who is a year older than me, 3rd is my dad, and last is my mom…until the 3rd runner, I was racing 1 and 2 in a close line.
In those days, it was not just an elementary school sports day, but actually a big annual event of inter-district competition. The adults are getting a lot of heat.
There were even times when adults would fight with each other for points. The support was amazing. In such a situation, I think the score of the relay between parents and children was also very high. And.
The baton was passed to the 4th runner, but my mother made a mistake, she was alone in the foot race…, almost half a lap behind the finish line.

I vividly remembered a scene from my childhood when I tearfully blamed my mother.

またまた３連休。良いのか悪いのか、とにかく休みが多い。小生、元々休みを前に計画して何かを、と云う習慣がない。休みになって、
「さて、今日は・・」と考えるタイプ。元来が仕事人間ゆえ、休みの事など殆ど眼中に無いからであろうか・・？。

ところが突然の計画が中々素晴らしい。初日は、目覚めと同時に心身統一道をしながら、妻に一言「映画に行こうか・・」、と、直ぐに
「行こういこう・・」、上機嫌である。協議の結果「おくりびと」に決定。
早々に枚方シネックスへ、何時もガラガラのシネックスが何故か可也の入りである。但し、大半が「おくりびと」に非ず、「おくられびと」
に近いお人が大半である。

映画評論は得意でないが、とにかく良かった。特に映画館が暗くて良かった。涙線が弱ってきた小生にとっては何よりである。
これがテレビやビデオだと、家族とでもとても一緒に観ておれない。

翌日は単独でゴルフ。それも２年ぶりのホームコース月例参加。スタートのパー５、スリーオンツーパットのパー、
次のパー４　ドライバーはナイスショット、さい先良し。残り１７５ヤード、これも見事２オンとイメージしてフルショット。ところが、
キャディーが何を狂ったか突然ファーと大声を発している・・・ムム・・。今度はニコッと笑いながら可愛いお声で、「お客さんもう１球」、
何とも憎らしいキャディーである。結局はトリプル。今日もダメか、月例をサボっていたつけか・・等と思い肩の力が抜けた。すると、
意外や意外、終わってみると４アンダーのネット６８。もしや、と思いきや、何とネット６３が２人、
後は６４、６５と続々と続いている、６８などベスト１０も危うい感じ。早々に引き上げることと相成った。

３日目は、久し振りに高野山へ。以前にもこのブログで書いたが、義父の墓が高野山に在る。個人墓ではなく、
「五族の墓」と
「陸士５６期」の墓の二つに祭られている。
五族の墓とは、日本、漢、蒙古、満州、朝鮮民族の五族であり、
五族協和を旗印に戦った満州国軍関係者のお墓である。

３時間ほどかけて、高野山のお墓をお参りした。それにしても高野山のお墓には、何時もながらたまげるばかり。一見は百聞にしかず、
世界遺産に登録されるだけの事はある。未だの方は一度は行かれるべきとお勧めする。

高野山にはこんなとんでもない大きくなお墓が何百何千と連なっている。

上二つは陸士５６期の墓。花を供える妻と娘。

We spent about three hours visiting the grave of Koyasan. By the way, I am always amazed at the graves in Koyasan. A picture is worth a thousand words
There’s just enough to make it a World Heritage Site. If you haven’t done so yet, I recommend that you go at least once.

大阪市の裏金問題。「モグラ叩き」のよう、とさえ云われるほどに次から次と際限がない。
市長の仕事は、「お詫び会見か・・」と思われるくらい就任以来何回と無く難しい顔をして頭を下げている。昨日の会見でも
「適応可能な最大限の処分で対応したい」と云っているが、云いえて妙、
非常に上手い表現で、民間出身の市長とは思えない言い回しである。お詫びももはや慣れたものである。

で、松ちゃん何が言いたいの・・・。実は、飲酒運転と裏金問題に対する処分についてである。

最近の公務員の飲酒運転に関する神経質さ、
その取り組み姿勢は立派としか云いようが無い。ゴルフ場でよく見かけるシーンであるが、お昼の休憩時のビールは何とも美味しい。
ところが酒好きにも係らず全く口にしない人が居る。アレッと思うと、大概が公務員である。昼からハーフ廻ってお風呂に入れば、
酔いなど全く残っていない。ところが飲酒検問されると絶対に大丈夫とは云い切れない。そこで検問を恐れ一杯も口にしない。見事、立派である。
何故か、職場の処分が恐いから・・・。飲酒運転でひかかり「適応可能な最大限の処分」をされると、噂では「懲戒免職」まであるという。懲戒免職だと、
１千万単位の退職金は飛ぶは職は失うは、女房子供には愛想つかされ独り身に・・なんて事に成りかねない。たかがビール一杯で・・、
故にお昼のビールは飲まない。非常に判りやすく納得である。

ところが、市民が汗水たらして納めた血税を、皆で話し合って横領し、
隠しポケットにないないしてもたいした処分ではないようである。懲戒免職などの処分は聞いたことがない。
「適応可能な最大限の処分」がどんなものかよく判らないが、次から次から出てくる犯罪にも係らず、その調査そのものも打ち切るらしい。
何とも不思議である・・・。

飲酒運転など自己責任の問題で、確かに違反ではあるが犯罪ではない。
ところが下手をすると全てをパーにして路頭に迷う程の処分を受ける。ところが、裏金つくり（税金の横領）は立派な犯罪である。にも関わらず、
お茶を濁す程度の処分でおさめられ、適当なところで調査も打ち切られる。裏金つくりに関わった人の名前も出なければ、
隠すことに関わった人の名前も出ない。管理責任など誰か取っているのか・・。一事が万事である、私には理解できない事が多すぎる。

この疑問に誰かお答えいただけませんか？。
