父を超える日
新年あけましておめでとうございます。
今年もよろしくお願いします。
今日、父親に新年の挨拶に行ってきました。
言葉は通じなくても撮った写真を見せると、いつもと同じ笑顔を見せてくれます。
師匠の１人である父を超える日がいつかくるだろうと思ってますが、老人ホームで暮らすようになってもまだまだその日は遠いかも知れません。

Today, I went to my father to say New Year’s greetings.
Even though they don’t speak the same language, when I show them the pictures I’ve taken, they smile the same way they always do.
I think the day will come when I will surpass my father, who is one of my mentors, but that day may still be a long way off, even though I’m living in a nursing home.
