生まれ育った家から徒歩５分という便利な場所にお墓があったので、吉本家ではお墓参りは日常的なこと。
会社からも車で１５分程の距離にあるので、気が向いた時に手をあわしに行きます。
先祖供養がどんなものかを真剣に考えたことはありませんが、お墓の掃除をしたり水を替えていると心が落ち着くんですね。
心配性だった母に似てるところは否定できませんが、明るく積極的に生きてる姿をご先祖様がどこかで見てくれている気がしています。

母校

このお寺の斜め前にあるのが母校、市立高津中学校です。
当たり前ですが私が居た３０数年前に新築されたこの校舎は、今では築３０年以上。
困ったことに中学時代に勉強した記憶がほとんどありませんが、この前を通る度に懐かしさがこみ上げてきます。

The grave was conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the house where he was born and raised, so visiting the grave was a daily occurrence in the Yoshimoto family.

Takatsu Junior High School

Diagonally in front of this temple is my alma mater, Takatsu Junior High School.
Of course, this school building, which was built more than 30 years ago when I was there, is now more than 30 years old.
The trouble is, I have very little memory of studying in junior high school, but every time I pass this one, I feel nostalgia creeping in.
